Allison Lowery

Associate

Allison Lowery worked as a summer law clerk with the firm for two summers in law school. Since joining Brockwell Smith in August 2022, Allison has worked on civil litigation cases related to contract disputes and assisted the purchase and financing of multiple business acquisitions. Allison’s unique experiences create a solid foundation for her to understand what is important to businesses, to advocate for clients through negotiations, and to build strong personal and professional relationships.

Allison is a first-generation college student and attorney. In April 2022, she graduated as a joint degree student from Samford University where she obtained her Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law, and her Master’s of Business Administration at Brock School of Business. While at Cumberland, Allison served as a member of Cumberland Law Review, a legal research and writing mentor to first-year students, and the Director of Negotiation for the Trial Advocacy Board. Allison developed an appreciation for resolving disputes through Alternative Dispute Resolution and gained advocacy skills while competing on The Cumberland National Negotiation Team. Allison continues her involvement with Cumberland’s National Negotiation Team by serving as a coach for one of the top ranked advocacy schools in the country.

For Allison, fostering close relationships with clients built on trust, transparency and respect is at the heart of her desire to become an attorney. Allison grew up in Birmingham and has strong ties to her community. Now she supports the people and the local businesses that helped build the city she calls home.

Outside of the office, Allison enjoys spending time with her family at Lay Lake, attending sporting events (especially when rooting on the Crimson Tide), discovering new local restaurants, and exploring the outdoors with her rescue dog, Millie.
